1. Clothes taken off for checking periods in school
The Maharashtra Police has registered a case against 8 people, including the principal of a private school in Thane. It is alleged that in the school, the clothes of girls from class 5 to 10 were removed and checked.
The girls told their parents that blood was found in the school’s toilet. After which all the girls were called to the convention hall and its pictures were shown on the project. After this, the girls were asked who are still having periods.

2. An English Medium section mandatory in every class of Delhi government schools
The Delhi government has announced the implementation of a large educational reform from Academic Year 2025-26. Under this, now at least one English medium section will be started in every class of every government school.
The Directorate of Education of Delhi Government issued an order informing this. This decision was taken with the aim of promoting education in English medium in government schools.
For this, schools will have to provide proper English teaching material and the course will have to be effectively conducted. In addition, these changes have to be published in the official record and UDISE portal, so that the entire process is transparent and streamlined.
