Today, on the occasion of International Non -Violence Day, we know about the synonyms of peace who have got the Nobel Peace Prize.

1. Nihon Hidankyo, 2024
This is a group of the Survivors of the nuclear attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan. Survivors of the nuclear attack in Japan are named Hibakusha. Hibakusha people formed an organization in 1956 named Nihon Hidyo i.e. Japan Confederation of a-H-Bomb Survivors Organization.
With this organization, the stories of Victims of Nuclear Attack were told to the world. The aim of organization is to seek better support from the Japanese government for Victims and warn the world about the bad effects of nuclear weapons.

Terumi Tanaka was 13 years old when an Atomic Bomb fell on his city. He told, ‘Black smoke and debris of buildings were spread all around. Human dead bodies were scattered between the debris. I was trying to find my family. Many people were badly injured, some had burnt the entire body but they were breathing. But there was no one to see them.
Going some further, I found my aunt’s burnt body. Dada’s body was also completely burnt but breathing was going on. I saw a child whose fingers were melted as if the skin was separated from the body. A small girl was running on a pile of corpses. A young boy who was also badly injured, was trying to help other people but to no avail.
2. Nargis Mohammadi, 2023

53 -year -old Nargis Mohammadi was first sent to jail in 1998 to raise his voice against the Iran government. At that time she was in jail for a year.
Nargis Mohammadi, who hails from Iran, is a human rights activist who received this honor while in jail. She had been raising the voice of women in Iran for more than 20 years.
She continued to raise voice against the Iranian government’s death sentence and torture in jail. He also suffered the brunt of this. Nargis was arrested 13 times. He was also sentenced to 31 years in jail and 154 whip.
In 2022, the Iran government killed a girl named Mahsa Amini only because she did not covered her hair properly. After this, heavy demonstrations started across the country. Nargis Mohammadi registered his protest from jail itself. The government took action against the protesters in which more than 500 people were killed and 20,000 people were arrested.
3. Maria Ressa, Dimitri Murtov, 2021

Maria Ressa is a journalist from the Philippines and Dimitri Murtov from Russia. Both got respect for work for freedom of expression.
Maria Ritsa’s initial work is on the growth of Terrorism in South East Asia. In 2012, he started an online news site Rapler. As an investigative journalist, he published several reports about the misuse of his power of the President of the country and the use of violence. He highlighted the murder of the people in the President’s disputed anti-drug campaign.
At the same time, Dimitri Murtov introduced the Novaya Gadget in 1991, which soon became a major symbol of democracy and freedom of expression in the country. Since 1995, Murtov has been its editor-in-chief. During this time, reports are published in this newspaper about the Russian government’s corruption, fraud and violation of human rights.
4. Dennis Mukavij, Nadia Murad, 2018

Dennis Mukavij hails from Democratic Republic of Congo who is a gynecologist by profession. In 2008, he opened Panji Hospital in Bukavu where he has treated thousands of women who have suffered sexual violence.
His country has been struggling with civil war since 1990. In this, the main fight is about control over the country’s essential raw material. Both the Government Force and Rebel Group used sexual violence with women as a weapon to weaken their opponents.
Mukavij is one of the few people from all over the world who specializes in treating internal injuries of women suffering from sexual violence. For this, they also do long operations many times which sometimes last for 18 hours. When he came to know that he was about to receive peace prizes, he was in the operating room.
They not only treat women but also condemn those who do so in front of the public. For this reason, in the year 2012, an attempt was made to kill him along with the family. Despite this, Mukvij continued to do his work.
At the same time, Nadia Murad is a resident of Kozo in Iraq. They are from the Yazidi community there, which is in the minority. In 2014, the Islamic State ie IS militants invaded Kozo in which elderly women and all men were killed. 21 -year -old Nadia was made a sex slave with other women.
Nadia was constantly raped and threatened to adopt Islam. A few months later, Nadia escaped from there and reached Germany in 2015. After reaching there, Nadia did not remain silent but talked about the atrocities with her on the international stage. He thought that his criminals would be punished in this way.
5. Kailash Satyarthi, Malala Yusufzai, 2014

Malala Yusufzai and Kailash Satyarthi were honored for working for the prevention of sexual violence in the war zone.
Kailash Satyarthi of India and Malala Yusufzai of Pakistan were honored against the oppression of children and youth and for raising their voice for their education.
Kailash Satyarthi is a Children’s Rights Activist. He started the ‘Save the Childhood Movement’ and ‘Good Viv’ Organization. They work to keep children away from slavery and child labor. In 1998, Kailash Satyarthi took out a global march against Child Labor, making the International Labor Organization of United Nations focus on child labor issue.
Malala Yusufzai, who lives in Swat Valley, Pakistan, was just 11 years old when the Islamic Taliban consumed here in 2008. Malala wrote the incidents during this diary in a diary which was published by BBC Urdu in 2009. In the diary, Malala criticized the Taliban government here. After this an American documentary was created, making Malala become famous. When Malala was going to school in 2012, Talibani Gunman shot her head in a school bus. His life survived but he had to leave Pakistan and flee to England. The Taliban government also issued a fatwa against him. In 2013, Time magazine placed Malala in the list of ‘100 most influential people in the world’. In his 16th birthday, he gave speech in United Nations.
