2. Navy included INS Androt in its fleet
The Indian Navy included the second anti-submarine Shailo Water Craft (ASW-SWC) INS Andot in its fleet.
The ceremony took place at Visakhapatnam naval dockyard.
- The program held at Visakhapatnam naval dockyard was chaired by Eastern Naval Command Chief Vice Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar.
- INS Androt is produced by the Indian Shipyard Company Kolkata’s Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE).
- More than 80% indigenous materials have been used in its construction.
- The name Androt is taken from Lakshadweep’s largest island ‘Andot’.
3. Shubhanshu Shukla became the brand ambassador of ‘developed India Buildhan’
The first Indian Shubhanshu Shukla to visit the International Space Station (ISS) has been made the brand ambassador of the developed India Buildhan.
Hackathon is being organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission.
- The school is Hacathan, which will be held on 13 October.
- In this, more than one crore students from 1.5 lakh schools across the country will gather to develop ideas, design and prototypes.
- It will include students from schools up to 6-12.
- It was launched on 23 September and its registrations will be till 6 October.
4. 4 zero will be removed from Iran’s currency

1. Gate 2026 Last date of registration today
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will close the registration window for Guwahati Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering i.e. GATE 2026.
Candidates can apply through official portal, gate2026.Iitg.ac.in. To reach the portal and submit their form, applicants are required to log in using their enrollment ID and password.
The exam will be held on 7, 8, 14 and 15 February 2026. Its results will be declared on 19 March 2026.
2. Opposition of students in Pakistan over government school privateness
On Sunday, students and teachers from government colleges in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area protested when the school was private.
These demonstrations were held against the government’s decision to outsource colleges with low admission. Along with this, these people are also opposing Mphil’s degree for teacher promotion and proposal required for research work.
Students demand that the decision to outsource the colleges with low enrollment be withdrawn. This decision should not be taken especially for colleges in far-flung areas.
