Central Government Proposes Rules to Ban Unruly Flyers for Over 2 Years
In the draft rules, the government has categorized disruptions from flyers into three levels.
- 1 The level is disruptive behavior like physical gestures and abusive language which can lead to a suspension for 3 months.
- 2 The level is physically abusive behavior like kicking, pushing, sexual harassment etc, which can lead to a suspension for 6 months.
- 3 The level is life-threatening behavior and the suspension is 2 yrs or more.
Trump’s Obamacare Replacement Bill Passed by US House
On Thursday the USA, lawmakers vote to repel and replace Obamacare which makes quality health insurance more affordable and available to the Americans. However, the bill needs to pass the Senate to become a law. Notably, Trump’s first attempt to repeal Obamacare collapsed in March.
NGT Announces Rs. 1 lakh Fine for Dumping e-waste Around Ramganga
On Wednesday The National Green Tribunal announced that anyone found dumping electronic waste on the banks of river Ramganga in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh would have to pay Rs 1 lakh as environment compensation.
Andhra Pradesh’s Banganapalle Mango Gets Geographical Indication Tag
Banganapalle Mango received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, indicates the product comes from a specific region. Its is known for its sweetness and is called as the King of fruits. The Registrar of Geographical Indications Registry (RGIR) granted Banganapalle the GI status on Wednesday on a six-year-old application from Andhra Pradesh’s horticulture department. In both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Banganapalle mangos are very famous.

Prabhat Kamal Bezboruah appointed as the new chairman. He is the first non-IAS and first industry representative of the Kolkata-headquartered Tea Board, the governing body of the industry. On the other side coffee grower, M S Boje Gowda was appointed as chairman of the Coffee Board.

Anyone can run an Express Wi-Fi hotspot, which means entrepreneurs across the country can offer their communities faster and more affordable internet. In India, Facebook is presently working with a number of local ISPs and 500 local entrepreneurs, but that number is about to grow quite a bit. The service is now accessible via 700 hotspots across four states of Gujarat, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.
Russia, Turkey and Iran Sign Deal on Safe Zones in Syria
Turkey, Iran, and Russia signed an agreement to set up of four “de-confliction zones” in Syria – the latest attempt to reduce violence in the country. The major objective of the memorandum is to stop the violence and facilitate conditions for the safe, voluntary return of refugees as well as to provide rapid and uninterrupted delivery of relief supplies and medical aid.
Police Public Schools will be Set up in Haryana
By the end of April 2018, the Haryana Government will set up police public schools in all subdivisions to provide best education facilities to the children of police personnel in the state. 1,560 houses for police personnel are being built by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation in the first phase. Construction of 1,500 more houses will be undertaken in the second phase.
President Signs Ordinance Giving RBI More Power to Fix Bad Loans
On Thursday President Pranab Mukherjee signed an ordinance which is giving more power to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to deal with the growing problem of nonperforming assets. The ordinance amends Section 35A of the Banking Regulations Act. After the cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley declared that a major decision was taken related to the banking sector.
Shapath Bharadwaj Reaches First World Cup Final in Men’s Double Trap
Young Indian shooter Indian Shooter Shapath Bharadwaj reached his first ever International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup stage Final. Shapath was one of the four shooters to finish with a score of 135. His teammates Sangram Dahiya and Ankur Mittal finished17th and 19th shoots respectively with identical scores of 127.
Women’s Trio Listed for Arjuna Award
The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) recommended the women’s trio of World Championship silver – medalists for 2017 Arjuna Awards. The trio includes Saweety Boora(81kg), Sonia Lather(57kg) and Sarjubala Devi (51kg).
