Haryana to start the door-to-door survey to collect data of every resident
To issue a smart IDs for every house in Haryana, the state government of Haryana has decided to collect the detailed data of every resident. This collected data is useful for benefits in 150 services of 87 departments through online. During the survey, the address of each house, location, details of owner of the house, bank account numbers, IFSC code and Aadhaar and personal information will be collected.
DIPP and WIPO to set up Technology and Innovation Support Centres
The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) have signed an agreement to establish Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC). WIPO’s Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) program provides innovators in developing countries with access to locally based, high quality technology information and related services, helping them to exploit their innovative potential and to create, protect, and manage their intellectual property (IP) rights.
Edelweiss Tokio launches India’s first insurance that can be bought at PoS
Edelweiss Tokio life insurance has launched India’s first insurance product that can be bought at a PoS (point of sale). The product has been named ‘PoS Saral Nivesh’. It is the first product to be approved by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s guidelines on point of sale life insurance products.
CRPF Command Shifted from Kolkata to Chhattisgarh
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) shifted back from Kolkata to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In 2014 Indians were the sixth biggest out-of-pocket health spenders in the low-middle income group of 50 nations, according to an India Spend analysis of two recent studies by The Lancet, a British medical journal. Indians spent 27.4 percentage points more than median-country citizens did (38.2%), the analysis showed. India has ranked 147 among 184 countries on this parameter.
