1. Dream11 ends sponsorship agreement with BCCI
On August 25, Dream11 has decided to withdraw from the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team.
BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia said that BCCI will no longer connect with any online gaming company in future.
- This decision has been taken due to the passing of the central government’s real-man gaming platforms.
- Dream 11 signed a 3 -year sponsorship contract with BCCI in 2023 with BCCI.
2. Retired IPS Anish Dayal Singh Deputy NSA appointed
On 24 August, the Central Government appointed retired IPS Anish Dayal Singh as Deputy NSA.
Anish Singh retired in December 2024.
- Anish Singh is an IPS of Manipur cadre of 1988 batch.
- The central government had given him the additional charge of the post of Director General of NSG i.e. National Security Guard last year.
- He has also been the DG of CRPF before this and Director General of ITBP.
