1. Shailesh Jejurikar of Indian origin to become CEO of P&G
On 29 July, Multinational Company Proctor and Gambal i.e. P&G announced to make Indian origin Shailesh Jejurikar a new CEO.
Shailesh’s appointment will be effective from January 1, 2026.
- Shailesh is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.
- They will replace the current CEO John Molar.
- John Molar has been commanding the company for the last four years.
- Will now play the role of executive chairman of Molar Company.
- The P&G company makes domestic products such as Head and Shoulder Shampoo and Tide detergent.
- Shailesh is 58 years old and was born in Mumbai.
- He has graduated from Elphinstone College in Mumbai. Then IIM earned MBA degree from Lucknow.
- His appointment has added another name to the list of CEOs of Indian origin, including names like Sundar Pichai (Google), Satya Nadella (Microsoft), and Arvind Krishna (IBM).
2. Remona Avete Perera set a world record at Bharatanatyam
On July 28, Mangalore’s Remona Avete Perera set a world record in the Golden Book of World Records by performing Bharatanatyam continuously for 170 hours.
Remona achieved this achievement from 21 July to 28 July 2025 at St. Alloys’ College, Mangalore.
- He broke the 127 -hour record set by Srishti Sudhir Jagpat in 2023.
- Remona gave her performance with a 15 -minute break every 3 hours, every 3 hours.
- During this time he presented 61 different Bharatanatyam Composition, including Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Shabdam, Alphabet, Padam and Tilana.
- 20 -year -old Remona is a BA Final Year student at St. Alloys Deemed University.

1. Admitted to 3,225 posts of school lecturers in Rajasthan
Recruitment notification for 3225 posts of teachers has been issued in Rajasthan. The application process for this recruitment is starting from 14 August. Candidates will be able to apply by visiting the website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
Educational qualification:
- Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.
- There should be knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
Edge Limit:
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 40 years

- General/OBC: 600 rupees
- OBC (NCL)/ EWS: Rs 400

2. Recruitment of RPSC Assistant Agriculture Engineer
The recruitment of Assistant Agriculture Engineer (AAE) has been recruited by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). Candidates can fill the form by visiting the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or by going to SSO portal sso.rajasthan.gov.in. The competitive examination for this recruitment will be conducted on 19 April 2026.

1. The lowest enrollment in Kendriya Vidyalayas 5 years
Enrollment in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country has reached the lowest level in the last 5 years. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave this information in the Lok Sabha on 28 July. According to the data of the Ministry of Education, the number of admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Academic Session 2020-21 was 1.95 lakhs. It has been reduced to 1.39 lakhs in the current academic session 2024-25 every year. This shows a decline of 28.4%.
There are currently 1,280 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country. Meanwhile, the funds of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan from the government have also increased continuously. It was Rs 6,437.68 crore in 2020-21, which has increased to Rs 8,727 crore in 2024-25.
2. SSC increased the vacancy of MTS and Havildar Exam 2025
Staff Selection Commission i.e. SSC has released a new vacancy number regarding multi-tasking staff and Havildar Examination 2025. According to the update released by SSC, the total estimated number of MTS posts has now been increased to 4,375. At the same time, the number of vacant posts of Havildar has been increased from 1075 to 1089.
SSC issued notice and informed about the number of posts extended.
The Commission has made it clear that no changes have been made in other terms. CBT for this recruitment is to be held from September 20 to October 24.
