2. ISRO and NASA joint mission ‘NISAR’ satellite will be launched on July 30

The Indian Space Research Organization ie ISRO and American Space Agency NASA’s joint mission ‘NISAR’ satellite will be launched on 30 July.

  • The full name of ‘Nisar’ is NASA-INRO synthetic aperture radar (NASA-Isro Syntic Aperture Radar).
  • From the GSLV F-6 heavy lift rocket, this satellite will be installed in the sun’s orbit 743 km away.
  • The satellite ‘Nisar’ will scan the entire earth every 12 days and will give day and night figures in all seasons.
  • It can also detect subtle changes on the surface of the Earth- such as changes in ecosystem and biodiversity.

1. CBSE directed schools to install CCTV cameras

The Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE has directed all its schools to install CCTV cameras. The board issued guidelines to the schools, saying that cameras should be installed in all the necessary places in the school.

It includes entry and exit places, corridors and labs in addition to the Classroom. The toilet and washroom are excluded from it due to privacy reasons.

These guidelines have been released to ensure better safety of children in schools. The board says that this will also keep an eye on incidents like bulling and abuse in school.

CBSE directs that all cameras should be in working conditions and there should be at least 15 days recording. This will give children a time frame to make any kind of complaint. School administration will also be able to investigate cases in time.

2. UGC NET June 2025 Exam Results released

The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the result of UGC NET June 2025 Examination. Along with the result, cut off and final answer key have also been released. Candidates can check their scorecard by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

This time a total of 1,88,333 candidates have cleared the exam. Of these, 5,269 candidates for JRF and Assistant Professor, 54,885 candidates for Assistant Professor and PHD entrance. Also, 1,28,179 candidates have qualified for PHD only.

The UGC Net examination was held on June 29. The exam was taken in two shifts. The provisional answer key of the exam was released on 5 July.

This year, a total of 10,19,751 candidates were registered for the exam. Of these, 7,52,007 candidates attended the exam. Out of the total candidates appearing in the examination, 4,46,849 were female candidates, 3,05,122 male candidates and 36 third gender candidates.
