Applications for 1015 posts of Sub Inspector/Platoon Commander, which were taken out by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), will start from tomorrow i.e. August 10. The last date of application for this is till 8 September. The Commission has proposed the exam date on 5 April 2026 for this.

Application related information
- Educational qualification– Candidates studying for a bachelor’s degree, final year from any university can also apply, but it is necessary to have the qualification fixed till the date of the interview starts.
- Age limit, three years discount– The age of the candidates should be minimum 20 years and maximum 25 years on 1 January 2026. The commission was earlier recruited in the year 2021. Therefore, this time the candidates have been given an additional discount of three years.
- Selection– Selection will be done through written examination and interview. Detailed course will be released separately on the Commission’s website. There will be two papers of 200-200 marks in the written examination.
- Examination – Multiple choice will be taken (offline/online) in the question. The date of the exam is proposed on 5 April 2026.

- RPSC had recruited 859 posts of Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander in the year 2021.
- There were allegations of paper leak in the recruitment examination, the government gave the investigation to SOG. SOG arrested several people including Trainee SI.
- Several petitions were filed in the High Court demanding the cancellation of recruitment. The court of Justice Sameer Jain ordered the status quo on the entire recruitment process on 18 November, 6 January and 9 January.
- Following the order of the single bench of the High Court, the police headquarters issued an order on 10 January 2025 and completely banned field training in recruitment. This restriction continues even today.
