1. Classical singer Chhannulal Mishra dies
Classical singer, Padmavibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra died in the early hours of Thursday. He was 89 years old. He breathed his last at 4.15 am at daughter Namrata Mishra’s house in Mirzapur. Chhannulal Mishra’s song ‘Khele Masane Me Holi …’ is still on everyone’s tongue.
On the night of 13 September, Sir Sundarlal Hospital in BHU was brought to the hospital. He was discharged on 27 September when his health improved. Then he moved to Mirzapur at the daughter’s house.
- Chhannulal Mishra was the proposer of PM Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
- PM Modi, CM Yogi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav have expressed grief over the death.
- Pandit Chhannulal Mishra was born on 3 August 1936 in Hariharpur in Azamgarh, UP.
- He was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2010 and Padma Vibhushan in 2020.
2. Yashasvi Jaiswal Time magazine’s top-100 emerging stars
Time magazine has included Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in the list of 100 emerging stars of the world. Jaiswal is the only cricketer involved in 2025 Time 100 Next. The 23 -year -old batsman expressed happiness over his name in this list through social media posts on Wednesday.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal has been selected in the Indian team for the 2 -match Test series starting against the West Indies from October 2.
- He made his debut in international cricket in 2023.
- They play for IPL Rajasthan Royals.
3. Free Trade Agreement in 4 countries of India-Europe implements
The Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which took place between EFTA of four countries of India and Europe (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), came into force from 1 October. This is India’s first FTA with these four developed European countries.
The four countries will invest $ 100 billion (about 8.86 lakh crore rupees) in India in the next 15 years.
- This will directly create about 1 million jobs.
- EFTA has given a fee exemption on 99.6 per cent exports (92 per cent tariff lines) of the country. India also gave concessions on 82.7 percent tariff lines.

1. InRecruitment to 194 posts in DIN Army
The Indian Army has issued a notification for recruitment to 194 posts of Group-C. Applications on these posts will be accepted through offline.
Educational qualification:
10th, 12th pass or ITI degree from recognized board.
Physical Qualification:
- Height: 165 cm
- Sew: 81.5 cm
- Weight: 50 kg
Edge Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 25 years
- Candidates of special class will be given age limit.
- SC, ST: 5 years discount
- OBC: 3 years discount
- Divyang: 10 years discount
2. Recruitment to 213 posts of UPSC Last date of
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recruited 213 posts including lecturers, medical officers and accounts officers. The last date of application for this recruitment has been fixed today i.e. October 2. Candidates can apply online through UPSC’s official website upsc.gov.in.
Educational qualification:
According to the post, Law degree, Work Experience, B.Ed degree with PG in Urdu, MBBS degree, social work or social work or economics or economics or anthropology or social anthropology or applied anthropology or masters degrees in statics or cycology or maths.
Edge Limit:
- Maximum 50 years
- Candidates of special class will be given age limit.

1. Gujarat Government’s recruitment calendar released
The Gujarat government has released a calendar for the recruitment of 10 years to come. According to the calendar, 2,06,396 new recruits will be made in the state by 2033. These recruitments will be in a total of 599 departments.
2. NDA/NA II 2025 Rit’s result released
UPSC has released the result of NDA/NA II 2025 Ritten Exam. Candidates can check their results on upsc.gov.in. Qualified candidates will now have to register their own on joinindianarmy.nic.in, after which they will get information about SSB interview center and date.
3. Punishment for applying tilak in private school in Maharashtra
In a private school in Maharashtra, students were forbidden to apply tilak on the forehead. After this, Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has issued a notice to the school.
The matter came to light when the parents of the children alleged that the children were forbidden to tie tilak, bindi, bangles, rakhi and kalava inside the school.
