1. Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla met PM Modi

Shubhanshu Shukla returned to Earth on 15 July after staying at the space station.

2. Trump said- Ukraine will not be involved in NATO

2. Recruitment for 841 posts in LIC
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has recruited the posts of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO). Candidates can apply by visiting the official website licindia.in.
The prelims exam for this recruitment will be on October 3, 2025. The Mains exam will be held on November 8, 2025.

1. Patna Lathicharge on students seeking STET and Librarian exams
On Monday, the police lathi -charged the candidates demanding the examination of STET, BTET and Librarian in Patna. A large number of candidates left for CM House siege from Patna College campus.
The police have stopped the candidates at Dakbangla intersection by barricading the candidates.
- These candidates are demanding the State Teacher Eligibility Test and Librarian Test to be conducted.
- They went out to siege CM House, before reaching there, they were stopped by planting barricades.
- Candidates say that if the teacher is not before the eligibility test i.e. STET State Teacher Recruitment Examination i.e. TRE4, then the candidates of session 2022-2024 and 2023-2025 will not be able to appear in it.
- On August 7, the police were lathi -charged on the protesting candidates.
2.UGC banned online courses related to health care
The University Grant Commission (UGC) has banned the courses to be conducted by Higher Educational Institutes which, National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act 2021, to the Academic session of Open and Distance Learning (ODAL) or online mode for the academic session July-Eastern 2025.
This decision was taken at the 592nd meeting of UGC on 23 July 2025. These ban psychology has been applied on microbiology, food en Nutrition Science, Biotechnology, Clinical Nutrition.
