Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Popularly known as APPSC has released it’s notification for Group II. APPSC came into existence on 1st November 1956 with the formation of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Before Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh from Madras State, there were two different PSC’s namely APPSC & Hyderabad PSC. Hyderabad PSC was maintained in Hyderabad. Its main functions are conducting direct recruitments, recruitment by transfers, Disciplinary cases, Reimbursement of legal expenses, etc. In addition, it conducts the departmental tests for several departments and conducts half yearly examinations for IAS and IPS officers & proficiency tests for AIS officers. Now APPSC has launched a new way to recruit for the vacant posts. IT has launched an OTPR portal for the candidates to register for all govt posts that come under APPSC.
