The ancient Ayurveda knowledge of India will now be included in the health education courses of schools and colleges. For this, NCERT and UGC together are preparing a course module for school education and higher education. This information has been given by Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav.

He said that this will connect the new generation with ancient Indian knowledge of health. Some states like Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh have already included Indian knowledge system in school education.

CCRAS is doing Ayurveda’s clinical trial

Jadhav said that the ministry is focusing on evidence-based research i.e. evidence-based research. High quality clinical trials are being done through the Central Ayurvedic Science Research Council (CCRAS) and other institutions. Standards are being set together with WHO, so that the scientific recognition of Ayurvedic treatment can be further strengthened.

No competition from Ayurveda allopathy- Ayush Minister

Jadhav said that modern medicine means allopathy and Ayush medical methods complement each other, not competitors. ‘An attempt is being made to provide better health services by combining the benefits of both systems through the National Ayush Mission (NAM) and Ayush Grid.’

The next session can change syllabus

No information has been given about when the new module will be ready and when it will be included in the syllabus. However, it is possible that the next academic session should add knowledge of Ayurveda to school books.

NCERT now changes syllabus every year

Last year, the Ministry of Education had informed that now the syllabus of NCERT books will be changed every year. An official associated with the Ministry of Education said, “Today it is important that books remain updated in the changing times. Because of this, NCERT has been asked to review books every year and make changes according to the need. Books will be updated every year before the academic session starts.

NCERT removed the topic of Mughal, Delhi Sultanate from books this year

NCERT has changed the syllabus of class 7th books. The topics of Mughal Sultanate and Delhi Sultanate have been removed from History, Geography Textbooks, while proud of Mahakumbh, such as Make in India and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, have been added to books.

Earlier, NCERT reduced many parts related to Mughal and Delhi Sultanate at the time of Kovid-19 epidemic. It included Topics of Tughlaq, Khilji, Lodhi and Mughal achievements. Now these topics have been completely removed from books.
