1. President of Mongolia came to India on a 4-day visit
Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhna arrived in India on Monday on a four-day visit. He met PM Narendra Modi today.
After the talks several MoUs were signed.
- A postage stamp was also released to commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
- Khurelsukh will meet President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today and President Murmu will host a banquet in honor of the visiting dignitary.
2. India-Australia joint military exercise begins
India-Australia joint military exercise begins. The fourth edition of Australia Hind-2025 began on 13 October at Irwin Barracks, Perth, Australia.
This exercise will run from 13 to 26 October.
- The exercise, to be held from 13 to 26 October, aims to enhance counter terrorism operations, decision making and multi-national cooperation.
- According to the Indian Army, this year’s edition focuses on urban and semi-urban operations.
3. 11th test of rocket starship successful
The 11th test of the world’s most powerful rocket Starship was successful. It was launched from Boca Chica, Texas at 5:00 am on Tuesday.
The height of this vehicle is 403 feet. It is completely re-usable.
- This test was of 1 hour and 6 minutes in which water landing of the super heavy booster was done in the Gulf of America.
- The water landing of Starship was done in the Indian Ocean. The purpose of this flight was to conduct tests related to returning the rocket to the place of flight in future.
4. GenZ topples government in Madagascar
On September 25, GenZ protesters began protests in Madagascar over water and electricity cuts.
A curfew is still in place in Antananarivo and the northern port city of Antsiranana.
- 22 people were killed and dozens were injured. This increased resentment across the country.
- Trade unions also joined these demonstrations, leading to night-time curfews in Antananarivo and other major cities.
- Opposition leader in parliament Siteni Randriana Soloniko said the president fled the country on Sunday after the army supported the protesters.
- At present, information about their whereabouts is not available.
- The Gen Z protesters who inspired the uprising mobilized via the internet and have said they were inspired by other protests that toppled governments in Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Border Security Force (BSF) has issued a notification for recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty) under sports quota. The application process for this recruitment will start from October 16.

1. Hindi language started in Chinese schools
Official Hindi language has been started in Britannica International Senior Secondary School of China.
Bhavya Mehta was honored for her efforts in promoting Indian language and culture abroad.
Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat has honored Bhavya Mehta of the school in Shanghai. For the first time, Hindi will be taught at school level in China.
2. Two days holiday in school due to the controversy of wearing hijab
Controversy erupted over a Class 8 student wearing hijab in a private Christian school in Kochi, Kerala.
The student’s parents called it a religious right.
As the situation worsened, St. Rita Public School Palluruthy declared a two-day holiday. School principal Sister Helena RC issued a letter saying that a student had started coming to school wearing hijab (head cloth) instead of uniform. When the school management protested against this and stopped it at the gate, the parents of the students protested against it.
According to the principal, the crowd surrounded the school. After which the Kerala High Court has ordered police protection for the safety of the school and its staff. The administration has currently closed the school.
