1. Rajit Punhani became the new CEO of FSSAI
Rajit Punhani, a 1991-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Rajit was a secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation.

2. India-China will have business in currency for the first time
India and China have agreed to start trade again from the Lipulekh Pass of Uttarakhand. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was on a visit to India from 18–19 August.

It was also decided to restore businesses from Shipki-La and Nathu-La Pass along with Lipulekh.
- The India-China trade, which is going to start from the three passes of the Himalayas, will be completely completely through the road.

1. Admitted to Bihar Public Service Commission
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO). The application process for this recruitment will start from August 27. Candidates can apply in online mode by visiting BPSC’s official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

Educational qualification:
Graduation degree in any stream.
Edge Limit:
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 37 years
- The reserved category in the maximum age limit will be given exemption as per the rules of the government.
Selection Process:
On the basis of Riten Exam.
Fees:
- For all categories: 100 rupees
- Additional biometric fees: 200 rupees
Salary: 29,200 rupees per month.
Exam Pattern:
- Questions related to general language, general studies and general qualifications will be asked in the exam.
- Every question will be of a number.
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- There will also be a minus marking of one third of the points in the exam.
2. Recruitment to faculty posts in AIIMS

1. NCERT launched a special module on India’s space trip
NCERT has launched a special module on India’s space trip. The title of this module has been given ‘India: An Emerging Space Power’.

2. Class 2 student stuck overnight in school grill in Odisha
An incident has come to light in Keonjhar district of Odisha. Where the second class girl was stuck in the school window grill all night.
This incident is of Government Upper Primary School. On August 21, 8 -year -old Jyotsna went to study school. The school was closed after 4 o’clock and the staff did not know that she was left inside the school. When the girl tried to get out of the class room, she got out of the window grill but her head was stuck there and she was stuck there throughout the night.
On the other hand, if the girl did not reach home, the parents kept searching her overnight but she did not meet anywhere. At 9 am, when the woman who made a mid -day meal in the school, she arrived in the class room, she saw the girl trapped in the grill and informed everyone. After that the girl was evacuated after turning the grill. The temporary principal of the school has been suspended.
3. PHD NET-GAT Portal will be open for students now throughout the year
The Higher Education Department has taken a big decision regarding PHD admission. Now PHD admission portal in all universities including Barkatullah University (BU) will be open throughout the year. NET, CSIR-NET and GAT students will get direct benefit.
Now candidates can apply for this anytime. The department said in its order- According to the rules and ordinances of UGC – 11, NET, GAT pass candidates will get exemption from admission entrance, they will have to give only interviews.
