1. Announcement of election dates for four Rajya Sabha seats of Jammu and Kashmir
The Election Commission announced the election date on 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir on 24 September. Voting will be held on 24 October.
This date has been announced about a year after the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
- The term of Ghulam Nabi Azad and Nazir Ahmed Lave was completed on 15 February 2021.
- Two other members Fayaz Ahmed Mir and Shamsir Singh Manhas also completed their term on 10 February. Since then there were no representatives in the upper house of Parliament.
2. India will conduct ‘cold start’ military exercises in October
India is going to conduct military exercises called ‘Cold Start’ in the first week of October. This exercise will be for checking the drone and the technique that prevents them ie counter-drain system.
In this drill, it will be tested how strong our air defense system is and which places need to be improved.
- At the ‘Counter UAVS and Air Defense Systems’ conference held in Delhi on Tuesday, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit said that they are also trying to be like India, but we will always have to be a step ahead.
3. England fast bowler Freya Davis retired from all form of cricket
England fast bowler Fraya Davis has announced his retirement from cricket at the age of 29 to take law training. With this, his 15 -year game career will now end.
Fraya has played 35 matches in her 15 -year career.
- Davis participated in T20 against Sri Lanka in Colombo in March 2019 and played his first international match.
- He last represented England against Australia at Edgbaston, Birmingham in 2023.
4. Artemis-2 program will send crew flight to NASA moon
NASA said on 23 September that the first crew of the Artemis-2 program would fly next year and return around the moon. It will be launched in April 2026 and can be potentially extended by February 2027.
- The NASA Artemis program is an attempt to take humans to the moon. The trip to Artemis-2 will be 10 days, in which the crew of four astronauts will circle around the moon.
- Artemis-2 includes NASA’s space launch system rocket, built by Boeing and Northrop Grumman. Last year, NASA postponed the mission to several months and deferred it till April 2026.

1. Video of drunk headmistress viral on social media
The video of the headmistress of a primary school in Janjgir-Champa in Chhattisgarh is going viral, in which she is seen drunk. In this video, the head Mistress is mumbling something in Hindi and English and also keeping bread in pockets.
Officials suspended them after investigating the incident. According to the villagers, the headmistress has been getting intoxicated many times. At the same time, the family of the headmistress says that after the death of the husband, he has started drinking alcohol.
2. 10 -year -old girl dies under suspicious circumstances in Noida school
Tanishka, studying in a private school in Noida Sector 31, adjacent to Delhi, went to school as usual on September 4, but after some time he received a call from the school that she was ill. By the time the family reached the hospital, the girl had died.
The family has expressed suspicion on the death of the girl, as the school could neither give any reason for the child’s death nor showed CCTV footage to the family. The child’s mother has demanded justice for her daughter by making a video.
