CBSE has instructed all its schools to install CCTV cameras. The board issued guidelines to the schools, saying that cameras should be installed in all the necessary places in the school. It includes entry and exit places, corridors and labs in addition to the Classroom.
The toilet and washroom are excluded from it due to privacy reasons. These guidelines have been released to ensure better safety of children in schools. The board says that this will also keep an eye on incidents like bulling and abuse in school.

It will be necessary to keep recording up to 15 days
CBSE directs that all cameras should be in working conditions and there should be at least 15 days recording. This will give children a time frame to make any kind of complaint. School administration will also be able to investigate cases in time.
Schools are also instructed to keep checking CCTV camera footage from time to time. So that any disturbances in the school premise can be caught in time.
Mixed reaction coming on the board’s decision
On the one hand, many parents are justifying this decision of the board. He says that now the parents want to be completely relaxed about the safety of the child while sending school. Increasing incidents of crime in schools are a problem for parents.
At the same time, some teachers and parents say that this will affect the natural behavior of children and teachers. This will provide a message that children are being monitored all the time.
Instructions will be applied to all schools of CBSE
CBSE instructions will apply to all affiliated schools. HD cameras will be installed in all common areas of schools. The board has not yet set its deadline.
