Apart from this, teachers will also be appointed at PU’s Regional Center Ludhiana. The last date for application has been fixed on 21 August. However, the condition of PU’s Mass Communication and Journalism Department is very bad.
There is not a single regular teacher here and the department is running on additional charge, despite no post has been advertised for this department, whereas every year a large number of students enroll.
Recruitment status of last 3 years
In the last 3 years, the PU management has taken constant steps to appoint teachers in the last 3 years. In March 2024, 25 posts were recruited. Recruitment was taken on 23 posts in 2023 and 53 posts in 2022, many of which are still underway.
The campus is currently employed by about 590 regular teachers, while about 50% of the total sanctioned posts are still vacant. Apart from this, about 300 guest faculty members are being studied.
