Physics’s Nobel Prize will be announced in Sweden today. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences will announce the names of the winners at 3:15 pm.
Nobel of Physics is found to scientists whose discoveries bring a big change in understanding our universe, nature or technology.
Some media reports estimate that this time quantum computing, nanotechnology or new source of energy may be prizes.
The winner will get 11 million Swedish Krona (Rs 10.3 crore), gold medal and certificate. If more than one scientist wins, then this prize money is divided between them. The awards will be given in Stockholm on 10 December.

Nobel Prize was established in 1895
The Nobel Prize was established in 1895 and the award was received in 1901. From 1901 to 2024, 229 people have been honored in the field of medicine.
These awards are given based on the will of scientist and inventor Alfred Bernhard Nobel. Initially, Nobel was given only in the fields of physics, medicine, chemistry, literature and peace. Later, Nobel was also given in the field of Economics.

Physics Nobel has got 2 scientists associated with India
- Sir CV in 1930 Raman received the Nobel Prize for Physics. He was the first Indian who received this honor. His discovery had told that when the light collides with a substance, its color can change. This is called Raman effect. This discovery is used in laser and medical techniques today.
- In 1983, Subrahmanyam Chandrashekhar received the Nobel Prize for Physics. He was an American scientist of Indian origin. His search was associated with the life and his death of the stars. Chandrashekhar told that big stars can become black holes at the end of their life. His Chandrasekhar Seema is still very important in Astronomy.
