MP High Court rejected demand for reigns

Earlier on July 14, the Indore Bench of MP High Court rejected the petition demanding reigns. After this, NTA released the result of 75 students whose results were stopped.

MP High Court had ordered to stop the result

In fact, this year the NEET UG exam was held on May 4 at 552 exam centers across the country. After the examination, the children of an exam center in Indore complained that during the examination, the light came from the storm, which led to the examination in the dark. This caused his paper to deteriorate.

Students appealed to the High Court to recur NEET paper for their center. A single judge bench of MP High Court directed NTA to stop the results of these 75 students and release the results of the remaining students. NTA released the result of the examination on 14 June.

After this, a 3 -judge bench in the High Court refused to order a reague for these students. However, NTA told that this should not happen in future. Now this petition will be heard in the Supreme Court.

Burned candle if not arranged backup

Candidates, who filed the petition, said that their exam center was PM Sri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, where on May 4, he had come to give exams in the shift of 2 pm to 5 pm. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains and thunderstorms, electricity went away at around 3:30 pm. There was no backup at the center and the room got dark. Candidates had to give exams in this situation. Candles were lit at the center at around 4:30 pm.

The petition has demanded that either the re-exam of the affected candidates or the court suggests a other remedy for their fair evaluation.

For the first time government schools were made centers

This was the first time for NTA when government schools were made the exam center of NEET UG where there was no power backup. In fact, this year, government schools were made centers after a dispute over NEET UG exam in 2024 last year. Earlier, private schools and computer labs were made exam centers.
